Lugano, Switzerland – 2014
The New Lugano Conference Centre was created as a multifunctional cultural space, designed to host artistic events, international conferences and training sessions.
An ambitious project that combines aesthetics, functionality and innovation, opening the stage to a wide and international audience.
Decima was instrumental in the creation of the indoor theatre, taking care of the design, production and installation of the furnishings and stage machinery.
Main characteristics
- Complete stage machinery: installation of upper and lower machinery and mobile platform for the orchestra pit
- Flooring: construction of the auditorium and stage flooring
- “Ceresium” acoustic shell: modular structure equipped with motorised winches for storage
- Stage opening frame and movable wings: side wings made of fabric on telescopic guides, adjustable and sliding to quickly adapt to different stage requirements.
- Main curtain: dimensions 18×12 m, with three types of opening at variable speeds: Greek, Italian and German.
The project combined aesthetic solutions and advanced techniques, ensuring versatility for a wide range of artistic events.
