Curio System 4.0
Curio System 4.0 is the latest release of the stage machinery control system, the result of 20 years of experience and continuous innovation.
Designed to safely and precisely manage the movements of theatre machinery, Curio 4.0 is a system that combines solid traditions with the most advanced technologies, thereby driving performance to a higher level.
Curio 4.0 allows complete control over the movement of scenery (LIFTECH), lighting trusses, point hoists, chain hoists (Lift ONE) and other types of stage movement, ensuring an uncompromised performance for the show. The system development logic implements technology that prioritises safety, precision and flexibility. Our Control System has been designed to meet the most advanced requirements of theatres and productions of all dimensions.
The system consists of two separate controllers: one dedicated to safety and the other to motion control, ensuring optimal performance without ever compromising reliability. These two controllers work in perfect synchronisation, communicating in real time via the Ethernet network, which allows for rapid and unlimited integration of machines and consoles. The system can be expanded at any time, adapting with flexibility to new operational requirements.
Accessing the system is simple and secure: password authentication allows for multi-level control, limiting access to authorised persons only. Each movement, each sequence, each speed is managed with great precision, to make each performance unique and flawless.
- Modularity and flexibility: An easily expandable structure to meet future requirements.
- Separate security and performance: Two separate controllers for safety and movement management (in the Retrofit and Advanced versions).
- Integrated backup: Option of a second controller for greater security and continuity.
- Star connection of peripheral nodes: A simple and effective connection system that optimises system management and expansion.
- Real-time Ethernet network: High-speed data transfer for instant communication between all elements.
- Decentralised axis control: The simplicity of managing individual components reduces the complexity of the system.
- Compatibility with different technologies: electric and hydraulic drives can be used, adapting them to the specific requirements of each machine.
- Intuitive software: A user-friendly interface that optimises control even for those who are not experts.
- Mixed units: units may be formed by different types of machines.
- Machine movement: Precise control of machines, individually or in groups, with smooth and safe movements to protect mechanical components and connected elements.
- Customised movements: Each movement can be defined in absolute or relative mode, with proportional adjustments by means of a joystick, and different movement sequences such as free, protected, synchronised, interpolated, alignment and effects.
The CURIO 4.0 Control System projects the theatre into the future, with technology that adapts to every requirement and turns every show into an unparalleled experience.
Curio 4.0 provides high-level performance, thanks to a system developed to meet the most complex requirements of any theatrical production.
With its power and precision, it is capable of managing:
- Controlled axes: up to 200
- Consoles active simultaneously: up to 16
- Consoles points active simultaneously: up to 16
-
Positioning accuracy: 1 mm
Simultaneously controllable units: up to 64 - Groups that can be controlled simultaneously with each console: up to 4
- Synchronisable machines: up to 80 per unit
- Dynamic tolerance in synchronisation at maximum speed: 5 mm
A system that combines control, reliability and high performance.
Curio 4.0 is designed to ensure maximum safety in the management of stage machinery, complying with all current international standards. The system is devised to ensure compliance with safety integrity level 3 (SIL3) in accordance with EN/IEC 61508 and performance level E (PLe) in accordance with ISO 13849-1.
Main characteristics:
- Certified Safety: 29 documented and validated safety chains (SIF).
- Reference Standards: Compliant with EN ISO 12100-1, EN ISO 13849-1, EN ISO 13849-1, IEC EN 62061, IEC EN 61508 CAP.1-7, EN 60204-1, DIN 56950-1, UNI EN 17206, DIN VDE 0160, IEC EN 61800-5-2.
