Blackbox - Stage maskings
Stage maskings are essential for delimiting the stage space and creating the right environment for each performance.
These curtains, which block out light and absorb sound, ensure that parts of the service areas intended to remain hidden are not visible to the audience and help to maintain the atmosphere and order on stage.
The stage maskings are made from special fire-retardant black velvet or opaque fabrics that ensure complete blackout and sound insulation.
They may be utilised as: Side wing, Borders, Backdrops.
Their configuration can vary between draping or stretching, depending on the customer’s technical preferences, with open eyelets and suspension ties for easy installation.
- Reinforced upper borders with concealed tape for added strength.
- Bottom hemmed borders to allow for the insertion of lead weights or battens for stable tensioning.
- Flap on the back of the lower edge, which allows for floor fixing and protects the fabric from damage. It also serves to prevent any light from leaking in from “behind the scenes”.
