The Easygrid system is an advanced, modular solution for making staves for fly tower grids.
Designed to integrate perfectly with the technical requirements of any theatre space, it guarantees maximum functionality, safety and practicality.
Easygrid allows for the orderly and secure positioning of ropes and cables, improving accessibility and utilisation of work areas at height.
Technical specifications
Rectangular section tubular steel metal staves (60/80×100 mm, thickness 2mm).
Integrated cuts with a standard pitch of 120 mm (80 mm plank + 80 mm cut), or greater if necessary.
Punched eyelets for rapid attachment of blocks and pulleys, with anti-slip system.
Modular structure compatible with existing or newly constructed frameworks.
Free configuration, either longitudinal or orthogonal with respect to the stage.
Advantages of the Easygrid system
Walking surface completely free of obstacles as the blocks are recessed between the staves.
No block holder brackets on the grid surface
Cable and rope movement completely within the cuts between the staves.
Greater cut density: +25% compared to traditional systems
Also suitable for spaces with limited height thanks to the “German-style” Easygrid configuration
Compliant with workplace safety regulations
Available versions
“Italian-style” walkable grid
The most widespread version of the system, designed to provide a safe and accessible surface for technical personnel.
The cable and rope routing is integrated into the walking surface, making every operation simple and unobstructed.
Non-walkable “German-style” grid
Solution designed for moving and lifting stage rigging when the height of the fly tower does not allow for a walkable grid. The metal staves are suspended and can be aligned either longitudinally or orthogonally with respect to the stage.
Pairs of staves can only be installed in the scenic drop areas, based on the number of ropes, maintaining the same dimensions and scenic cuts as the standard version. The idler blocks, which can also be rotated or adjusted by 90°, allow for flexible configurations.
Mixed wood/ steel staves
Hybrid solution with laminated fir wood joists reinforced by milled metal tubular profiles for the insertion of pulleys and blocks.
Arranged parallel to the stage opening with a pitch of 140 mm (80 mm slat + 60 mm stage cut), these beams offer high resistance to vertical and horizontal loads, structural compactness and reduced noise emission. Possibility of Class 1 fire reaction treatment for timber surfaces.
